This hot spring is in the Biscuit Basin area.

This is the Sapphire Pool

In the winter the Bison and Elk hang out near the hot springs a lot for the warmth and food accessibility.  All around the springs are piles left behind by these animals.  This one we have dubbed "Rebirth"

This is the LARGE hot spring near the Grand Prismatic Pool.  This is bigger then a football field, and as you can see by the color, quite hot.  The water in these pools is so clear, it really looks inviting to jump in, to bad it would kill you pretty quickly.

This is the Grand Prismatic Pool.  It has a lot of varied colors.  The main problem is that the board walk is pretty close to it and without any height, you really can't see the colors that well.  The image below is pro shot showing how pretty it really is.

Day 8

This was a travel day going from West Yellowstone to St. Mary at the eastern entrance to Glacier National Park.

Day 9

This is our first day in Glacier National Park (GNP) and one of the first sites is this view up St Mary Lake with the famous little Goose Island.

Glacier is again more like Grand Teton, in that there are so many jagged peaks with snow on them,  Its hard to decide which ones would make the best photo.

Everywhere you looked, there was a waterfall.  The majority of the snow in this area just melted 2-3 weeks before we were there.  The Going to the Sun Road just opened 1 1/2 weeks earlier.
