We spent a couple days in Memphis with Mason.  You can't go to Memphis without eating BBQ.

We stopped at the famous Rendezvous for some great dry rub ribs.  Its entrance is just this little spot in the middle of a back alley.

We walked up and down Beal Street, home of the Blues.

Memphis has a huge music history.  This is Sun Records where many greats like Elvis and Johnny Cash and many others recorded albums.

This is Nemo, Mason's dog.  He takes it with him on his training jogs of 18 miles in the Memphis heat and humidity, this is one tough dog.

Here is our campground in Memphis, the Bettenga RV Resort.  Thank God we could run and extension cord to the house for air conditioning.  Thanks for the hospitality Mason.

From Memphis we drove west with a stop in Little Rock to see my Great Aunt Jean and her daughter Toni & Charles.  We had a great visit and it was nice to see them again.   We continued on to the Dallas Texas area to stop and see our good friend Phil and Rachael Serra.

Phil and I had worked together for many years at IVAC and Nokia.  He transferred to Dallas to work in the US headquarters of Nokia.   They live on a small 10 acre ranch with horses and their pet donkey Diego.
