The Williamsburg area is the tri-fecta of history. You have 1607 Jamestown, then 1750ish Williamsburg and 1780s Yorktown. But not far away are 1869s Civil war sites, and 1903 Kitty Hawk. Our first stop was Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement in the US. There is a living history setup where you get to learn about how the natives lived and then the first settlers.

Here is Jake grinding corn

They have replicas of the 3 ships the settlers use to get to the new world.

This is the route taken. It would a lot closer the just go straight across the Atlantic, but they had to got way south because they used the ocean currents and winds to help get them there.

There is a complete fort simular to what they had in 1607 with lots of hands on items to learn about life then.

Here Capri and Jake are learning to make a fence.

They even had bowling, and you did not have to wear gross rental shoes.

Even though the settlers were starving and dieing off they still managed to build a really nice church, Here Pastor Jacob is appealing to a higher power.
