These are the images are of our vacation we took Aug 3-13, 2006. We went from San Diego up the eastern side of the Sierra Mountains first camping in Lee Vining. From there we did June Lake scenic loop, Devils Post Pile National Monument and Rainbow Falls, Mammoth Lakes, Fish Hatchery, Bodie ghost town, Mineral Hot Springs near Bridgeport, Mono Lake and Tufas, Mono Volcanic Crater, hike to Bennettville and old gold mine near the top of the Tioga Pass.
Next we drove over the mountains and stayed in the town of El Portal, 5 miles outside Yosemite. In Yosemite we hiked and biked in the main valley, drove to Glacier Point lookout and hiked to Taft Point. Last we went to Sequoia for a couple of days on our way home again.
