Next, just our family travelled on to Death Valley National Park.  Here we are at an overlook looking down on the lowest spot in North America.  Here we are at Dantes View Overlook.

This is along the Twenty Mule Team Canyon Road.  The hills have many various colors here.

The salt flats are vey crusty.

It was February when we were there so the surrounding mountains still had snow caps.  We are standing on salt, not snow.

When you get a close up look at the salt on the salt flats you find they are very intricate and delicate formations from the drying process.

Its Death Valley, the hottest, driest place in North America, you can't expect to make snow angels here so Lori decided to try salt angels.

The lowest place in North America.
