The camping group had 20 campers attend this time, it was a great setup since we got our own circle like the old covered wagon days.

We had our standard pot luck on Saturday evening, I think the count was around 80 people.

We spent a few hours 4x4ing and exploring some of the old abandon mines. Here is a shot where we got many of the explorers together. There was so much dust being kicked up, that the flash reflected off it.

Some parts of the mines you had to climb up or crawl under stuff, pretty neat though. I can't imagine being the ones to have to dig this all out. one of the mines we explored went into the mountain at least 1 mile.

Here you can see in just this one hill side in the area how honeycombed these mountains are with mines.

For this trip I borrowed my parents 4X4 pickup, knowing we
would want to do some off-roading. It was a blast, thanks Mom & Dad.

The 4X4ing was a lot of fun. Some of the hills seemed pretty scary to the the least experienced, but I think only once did I have it where 2 of the wheels were off the ground at the same time.
