The hoodoos have many different colors and they seemed to change as the sunlight changed.

We were all reminded of the "wet drip" type sand castle some make at the beach.  This section is known as the Queens Garden.

The below image is from a lookout point the is across the canyon from where we did out hike.

This section had a name that referred to the formations looking like soldiers lined up together standing in formation with the castle archways behind them.
