We were also able to do some bike riding in the park. It is considered one of the best rides in the world. One note is that there is a type of bush everywhere around Zion that sheds little thorns that end up in your tires. We had 4 flats all together. The guy at the local bike outfitter helped with this and said they put the green slim in the tires of the rental bikes before their first outing.

There is a bike/walking trail the leaves from the visitor center and heads up the valley for a couple miles, crossing the Virgin River several times. From there you have to ride on the main road up and down the valley. In the summer, no cars are allowed in the valley, only the Park's buses. They are not allowed to pass bikes so you get to control the flow in the valley if you like.

The evening of the second night we were there, there was a big moon rising over the sun drenched cliffs. This image is from across the street from the campground we stayed. Our campsite was just to the lower right of this image.

We also go to see the famous Oscar Meyer Weenie Mobile.
Lori and I knew of this from our childhood, but the kids had never seen it.
I think this was a pretty new one, or it is incredibly well maintained.
