Mod #11
Mod 11 is my attempt to change the camper to the
modern age. No more are we going to buy 60 lbs cubes of glass, etc. to watch
football or a race on. I have a cheap, but quite effective 19 LCD HDTV, that
while it would sit fine on the spacious TV shelf you could not really put
anything else on the space or it would block your view. I have horizontal
space disease and tend to use any and all available flat surfaces for setting
"junk" on. I added a new "wall" to mount the TV against and made 3 shelves
behind it so I could put triple the "junk" there. (its mostly things like bike
helmets, wallets, and Kleenex type stuff) I put a hole in the wall and ran
the power and cable wires through it to the opening in the old big shelf. From
there I was able to run the cable to the open jack on the inside the wall part
of the TV power and antenna jack normally set for a 2nd TV. This made it so no
wires are really visible. I bought a 6 plug strip and cut the plug end off and
wired it on to the back side of the existing wall power plug. both these wires
are run through the massive open space behind the radio/CD. Now I also have
extra plugs for things like a portable DVD player or cell phone chargers to use
in the back of the new shelf. My cost on this one was $30 for the TV
mount and $3 for the 6 plug strip both from Wal-Mart.
As a bonus on this mod, since I had to remove the radio/CD I found the jacks to
add the wire to hook up a MP3 player and set the player to Aux mode. I already
had the wire which was a 3.5mm jack on the MP3 player end and 2 RCA jacks on the
other. The wire is tucked in the back of the shelf ready to be used at any time.

Mod #12
Mod 12 is a pretty simple one optimizing space for
the kitchen. I added a built in shelf with a 1" lip on it the cupboard
above the this sink. I did not make the shelf all the across the cupboard
because I needed to leave some full height area for tall items like cereal and
the pancake mix. My cost on this one was $0 since I used only scrap
wood I had.

Mod #13
Mod 13 is about as easy as they come, but still has
great benefit. Below the oven is a cupboard that was only 10" deep. The
back wall of it did not got to the top of the space so I could tell there was
probably nothing much behind it so I took it out and it was pretty open to a
depth of 23". There is a drain pipe running through it but I still gained
enough space to put my portable grill there for easy access since I use it most
every trip. Between the pipes the and left wall I put things like Comet,
bug spray, etc. My cost on this one is $0, and about 2 minutes work.

Mod #14
I wanted to add a small rack to my rear bumper to carry some lightweight
items like some firewood or the kids RC cars/toys. I got some angle iron and the
help of a friend with a welder and added this weekend.
My bumper is not the strongest in the world, but it is all steel. I can stand on
the rear edge of the rack with my 200 lbs and I only get a slight flex in the
bumper closer the the middle/spare tire side. The other side is attached right
by where the bumper is attached to the frame and is very strong. I may have to
get a piece of plywood to fill in the base if I decide to carry anything that
will not be in the Rubbermaid tubs, but I'll worry about that when it comes up.
