Mod #6

Mod #6 was pretty easy, I had purchased a couple of vent covers from Camping World a month or so ago on sale and finally got around to installing them.  Pretty easy except the Fantastic Fan I had in one of the vents needed to be taken apart some to get to the mounting bolts.   My total cost was $18 each x 2 vent covers

Mod #7

Mod #7 is another storage optimization one where I added a large drawer under the right dinette bench. Originally there was just a small door there opening up to the large storage space.  I reused the door on a previous mod and put in the 18" x 30" x 14" drawer. It pulls out 24", any more and it would hit the couch. I used some of the extra matching wood I got when I bought the camper to just make the face of the drawer match the end panel of the bench.  When its closed it doesn't look like anything is there. I still have 8-10" behind the drawer I can use to store items I don't need to get to very often.   My cost on this one was $16 for the 24" drawer slides, $.89 for the clasp to hold it closed, $1.50 for the pull handle, and $3-4 for the 1/2" plywood, everything else was scraps.

Mod #8

I am going mod crazy, I just finished my next one. The cupboard under the front bunk in the 21QS is half depth and set to the far back, harder to utilize. I moved it forward, put in a new back using the matching wood I got when I purchased the camper and put in 16" deep wire shelves behind where the cupboard used to be.  My son will use them for his clothes, etc. since he sleeps on the bottom bunk. I left 4 inches in front of the new placement to allow us to still put a foot there to climb up on the top. I forgot to take a before picture, but have one from another camper.   My cost on this one was $7.85 for the 4' chunk of closet wire shelf and ~$.50 for the end caps for the cut off wire shelf ends.

Mod #9

I have done another drawer mod yet, this time to the other/left dinette bench. It came with the top screwed down and a sticker on it that said the space was not for storage.  It has the wheel well and water pump + pipes in half of it so this drawer is half depth or 18" x 18" x 14". Once again I used the matching wood I got when I bought the camper for the drawer front.  I found some drawer pulls at Target the was a fairly close match to the ones used throughout the camper.  I used them in the bath since it is a separate room and used the exact matching ones for these new drawers.   My cost was $13 for the drawer slides and about $3 worth the 1/2" plywood from a 4x8 sheet I bought to do several mods. $1 for the drawer latch $1.50 for the drawer pull, total $18.50. The rest was a little bit of scrap wood I had laying around.

Mod #10

Mod 10 is another (and my last) drawer type mod. Under the kitchen sink is a cupboard that did not make much sense.  The back was hard to reach and everything fell off the "shelf" and the front half was a space that was 2 feet tall. I don't carry any kitchen items that are 2' tall.  I split the space with a slide out shelf that I now put pots and pans on for easy access. I no longer have to store them in the oven.
